Three Gauges Meet in Afghanistan
Afghanistan sits between three of the world's great railway systems: the 1520 mm GOST-standard networks of Central Asia to the north, Iran's 1435 mm network to the west, and Pakistan's 1676 mm network to the southeast. Building the connections between them is one of the region's defining infrastructure opportunities — and it demands engineering fluent in more than one standard.
